The project
Denise MacDonell is an accomplished real estate professional with Red Door Realty, bringing extensive experience in all types of residential sales to her practice. As an Associate Broker with FRI (Fellow of the Real Estate Institute) designation, Certified Negotiation Expert®, and a BBA from St. Francis Xavier University, Denise provides strong representation for both sellers and buyers throughout Nova Scotia.
Beyond her professional qualifications, Denise has been deeply involved in shaping the real estate industry, having held various volunteer positions with both the Nova Scotia Real Estate Commission and the Nova Scotia Association of REALTORS®. She currently serves on the Judicial Advisory Committee for the Province of Nova Scotia and is an active supporter of the performing arts in Nova Scotia as a board member, sponsor, and donor.

The retainer
I've been working with Denise since 2024 to provide a steady social media presence and semi-regular newsletter that fits her lifestyle and business needs. When we first started working together, Denise wanted to step up her social media presence without it becoming overwhelming or something she'd struggle to maintain. She also wanted a newsletter set up to send updates when she had something important to share (not on a rigid schedule that would add unnecessary pressure).
Working with my smallest retainer package, we're able to use our 6 hours a month flexibly, focusing on whatever projects are most pressing for her at any given time. Some months, we spend more time on creating newsletter content and blog updates. Other months, I develop mainly social media content for her profiles. Our contract also has a teaching element, so Denise can post on her own, empowering her to engage with her audience when she's inspired and comfortable posting on the fly.
This adaptive approach means Denise gets professional support exactly where she needs it, while maintaining the autonomy and authenticity that matter to her. I help her show up consistently enough that the algorithm prioritizes her content, but in a way that still feels genuine and sustainable.
One of the things I love most about my job is meeting clients where they are and working within what they're comfortable taking on.
