Digital PR School Online Course

Crystal Richard & Co.    |    Kajabi Online Course

Crystal Richard & Co. is a public relations consultant based in Moncton, New Brunswick. During our 2.5 years working together on retainer, Crystal created an online course called Digital PR School.

Digital PR School is an online course to be self-studied, designed for entrepreneurs, small business owners, and digital marketers who would love to get media coverage for their brand but are clueless on where to start. Upon graduation, customers not only have everything they need to get PR coverage, they have a set of tools to get them started with pitches, media kits and more.

The client chose Kajabi for the platform, so we planned for her website to integrate with this online course seamlessly. Kajabi is an all-in-one platform that provides clients with all the tools required to create, market, and sell online courses. With Kajabi, we were able to create and host Digital PR School landing page, waitlist page, online course modules, set up email marketing campaigns for students, manage payments, and track analytics all in one place.

Using the course outline, I created the landing page, purchase pages, thank you pages, student hub, and online course pages. I was then able to assist with editing the video and transcripts for the online course, so we were able to complete the entire project in-house.

This was my favourite project of 2020 because it allowed me to use my entire range of skills from content editing, video and slide creation, worksheet/workbook design and more all in one project. There was some troubleshooting to get the platform to work for our needs, but in the end, it was one of the most gratifying projects I’ve ever helped launch into the world.

To this day, I recommend this online course to anyone who wants to score PR wins for their small business. You can get on the waitlist here.

"Building & launching a course is a massive undertaking"

Kajabi was a big hurdle and while I know Kajabi is incredibly user friendly, I really appreciated having someone manage setting up the backend, hopping on troubleshooting calls with their team, etc. Building and launching a course was a massive undertaking and I really truly appreciate having you on my team to help navigate that process.

Kajabi online course

One of my favourite parts of Kajabi is the user experience they provide the client’s end customer. In terms of functionality, there is no better online course provider. However, it’s important to understand the pricing structure of a platform and the fees associated with it. Kajabi is one of the most expensive online course hosts available, so it’s important to know if you really need a student hub (pictured above) and how you want your online course progression to look.

A platform like Teachable has a similar course progression (pictured below) as Kajabi, but you won’t get the same kind of landing pages, gated areas or email functionality.

If you’re not sure what platform is best for your online course, book a call so we can chat about your needs
